The film was scheduled for simultaneous release in over 30 countries today.
Due to the recent terror strikes on Mumbai, producer Yash Raj Films has decided to postpone the release to a future date, an official source at the production house said.
“‘Rab Ne Bana De Jodi’ is not releasing in Pakistan as the production house has decided that it is not an appropriate time to release the film there,” the official said, adding, “The final decision to release the film would be decided in due course of time… Shahrukh Khan is very popular in Pakistan and this move to postpone the release will definitely hit our business.”
The film, starring Shahrukh along with newcomer Anushka Sharma, was scheduled for simultaneous release in 30 countries and over 1,200 screens across India. This includes both analog prints as well as digital cinemas.
